The land was originally owned by the Crossley family who donated it to Ripley Town in 1901 at which time it became known as the Central Recreation Ground.

The Crossley family donated further funding in 1937 to enable a bandstand to be constructed in memory of those who died during WWI and was formally opened on Coronation Day 1937.

Q: Are dogs allowed into the festival?

A: Well behaved dogs on a lead are more than welcome at this festival and there are some doggy stalls for them too.

Q: Is there disabled access?

A: Yes the site is very accessible and there are disabled toilets on the festival site.

Q: Do the stalls accept debit / credit card?

A: Many stall holders now provide card facilities for customers but there are a few that are still cash only.

Q: How many stalls are there at each event?

A: The number of stalls can vary but is usually between 50 and 80. We like to offer a wide variety so you can expect various food & drink stalls, bars, street food vendors and gift & craft stalls.

Q: Where do I park?

A: Limited parking is available in Ripley town centre, just a short walk away.
